Replays do no follow actual events.

It is a long standing issue with DCS replays - the don't actually record the flight but control inputs and therefore take on a life of their own

Also, if you "speed time" - even briefly - it messes up the replay. I hardly ever bother looking at the DCS replays. I usually record flights I consider worthwhile using either NVidia or Windows software and erase the recordings after I've viewed/used them.

Yeah in general the replays are useless.

 

Try "TacView"...  but that's basically a different animal for a different purpose...  but if analysis of a flight is what you're looking for...  that's what tacview does.
