Double Dutch
Hi, Doing more and more training sessions and concerning weapon systems. And was wondering what you guys set up when going into a battle. I now have EWS on the left screen, ECM setting XMIT, setting dispenser op ON. Right screen I have Radar. Is that how you go into battle? Do you change ECM to REC when enemy is within xx(?) miles. ----- Don't practise till you got it right. Practise till you don't do it wrong
speed-of-heat
ECM in XMIT blocks your Fire Control Radar, so personally i only switch ECM on if i'm launched at and I dont need need my FCR... usually a good notch and chaff will break the lock ... Tholozor
AZ/EL format on the left, attack format on the right, SA on the MPCD. The Sensor Control Switch functionality is designed to have the formats on those displays. If you box the HUD option on the EW page, RWR symbology is repeated on the HUD, no need to use up a DDI for it (symbology is also present in the HMD). 1 REAPER 51 | Tholozor VFA-136 (c.2007): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3305981/ Arleigh Burke Destroyer Pack (2020): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3313752/

A lot of screens with a lot of settings, this is mainly when starting of BVR engagement I assume. ----- Don't practise till you got it right. Kempleja
Yes, fastest way to get these DDI's on, just push SCS right, you get radar there, push SCS left, you get AZ/EL there, push SCS down, you toggle SA/HSI there.
Tholozor
The HSI/SA swap actually works on any display, it's just better to be on the MPCD since the DDIs have their assigned shortcuts for non-TDC-actionable pages. Jenson
ECM to REC, Dispenser/EW mode set to Man 1 after airborne. For different mission type, DDI selection can be quite different and it needs to change during the mission progress. There isn't a standard yet generally speaking, when you start to engage (just my opinion): 1. A/A Fighter sweep: LDDI AZ/EL, RDDI A/A Radar, AMPCD SA. 2. A/A Interception/Recon: LDDI FLIR, RDDI A/A Radar, AMPCD SA. 3. A/G unguided: LDDI Store, RDDI A/G Radar, AMPCD SA. 4. A/G rocket: LDDI FLIR, RDDI HSI, AMPCD SA. 5. A/G GPS guided: LDDI JDM DISPLAY, RDDI HSI, AMPCD SA. 5. A/G Laser guided: LDDI Store, RDDI FLIR, AMPCD SA. 6. A/G SEAD: LDDI EW, RDDI HARM Display, AMPCD SA. 1 PC Specs: Intel i7 9700, Nvidia RTX 2080S, Corsair 64G DDR4, MSI B360M Mortar Titanium, Intel 760P M.2 256GB SSD + Samsung 1TB SSD, Corsair RM650x Flight Gears: Logitech X56 HOTAS & Flight Rudder Pedals, HP Reverb G2 Modules: F-14A/B, F-15C, F-16C, F/A-18C, AV-8B, A-10C I/II, Supercarrier, Nevada, Persian Gulf, Syria Location: Shanghai, CHINA Project: Operation Hormuz [F/A-18C Multiplayer Campaign]
