upyr1 Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 We've got a lot of modules out there and they break when DCS is updated which causes DCS to break. Would it be at all possible to have some sort of mod manager to activate and deactivate mods so we can isolate the problems and conflicts? 1

Tippis Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 Try https://github.com/jweisner/ovgme or https://github.com/mguegan/ovgme or indeed any OvGME fork or branch, since JSGME is long abandoned by now. ❧ ❧ Inside you are two wolves. One cannot land; the other shoots friendlies. You are a Goon. ❧ ❧
Art-J Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 Apparently OvGME is no longer supported either (though it still works perfectly - I've been using it for a long time), so there's a third manager to try as well: i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.

Tank50us Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 I think the OP is wanting something akin to what ArmAIII uses where you start up the game, a launcher pops up, and you can load or unload a modlist and continue forward, which I think would be an awesome thing to have for DCS.

It’s a 32-bit software, so it can’t handle files over 2 GB, like those of some terrain mods. I was wondering why it seemed everybody switched managers... thanks for the info. I'll keep that in mind if I ever have problems later.
