Hello, I am passionate about DCS but much more than its editor, so I would like to ask you some specific questions about it.
1- is it possible to have a respawn of the destroyed units, instead of having to place the same units close to them in delayed activation (to simulate that they are reactivated)?
2- The triggers do not allow the continuous activation and deactivation of units (ex sam units in delayed activation, they are generated when the aircraft enters the trigger zone, when the aircraft exits the trigger zone they are deactivated. zone sam units no longer regenerate). This type of action I need to recreate scenarios of the Gulf War, where the anti-aircraft was activated only when the planes were close!
Thank you and good day.

No, there is no way to bring a unit back from the dead.

Yes, you can do this, using triggers of type "3 SWITCHED CONDITION", instead of type "1 ONCE". The latter is the default and this type of triggers are executed only once and thereafter dissapear from the execution flow of the triggers.

Well, I believe it is possible, but it'd require you to dive into the deep dark crypts of scripting

(Not my cuppa tea)

Without scripting, no, like Rudel said, not possible

i tried in all conditions 2-3 but it doesn't do it repeatedly ... bug? if you can, can you send me the .miz test file?

¿? Its the other way around .. if you attach your mission where this type of trigger doesn’t work, I will take a look at it. 🙂

Hi,

OK, I reviewed your mission and found that the trigger logic is OK ... the problem lies with the "Group Deactivate" action, as it is more or less the same as killing the group. You can't re-activate a deactivated Group.

Instead, I suggest that you use the "GROUP AI OFF" and "GROUP AI ON" actions. A Group with AI OFF will stop all movement, sensor operations and will not engage in combat. I edited your mission so that the test unit only moves when the other unit is within the zone, to test the concept.

Hopefully you can use that to enable/disable your SAM units.

Spero che sistemino a dovere l'editor di dcs, perché credo abbia molte limitazioni! Grazie mille per il tuo impengo, alla prossima domanda!

Even so, I think it is the most powerful Sim Editor that I've ever used ... and this particular case was just a matter of using the correct Trigger Action. 👍
