[NO BUG] PCN will not accept input at cold start

The PCN does not accept coordinates when doing a cold start.

You need to select a waypoint between 01 and 20 to align. Waypoint 00 is read only.

The alignment procedure has changed a little since training mission 01 was created.

 

You now need to select a waypoint 01-20 to align from i.e. PREP 20, before entering the alignment coordinates.

 

It's a small change but will catch you out when doing it for the first time, see page 66 of Chuck's Mirage 2000C Guide for more detail.

Figures something had changed. It would be great if the manuals or videos were updated to reflect this.

Just curious if this is some sort of bug or realistic. As much as I understand, WP 00 is the aircraft’s own position, so it would only make sense that this would be selected when doing the alignment. Why would you select a random unused waypoint instead?

From our information, BUT 00 is not editable, so you need to set your coordinates in an other BUT in order to be able to align the INS on the correct coordinates.
