VR texture LOD distance; syria bug or DCS?

TL;DR

Ground and building textures in syria in VR have a very, very short distance LOD? I think. I'm not sure but even at > 30m altitude, the roads are just a blurry mess, and buildings at more than a few hundred yards look worse than buildings in SU-27 Flanker.

Road example:

I think your problem is in the gpu settings not in the game settings.

Try to post your nvidia control panel settings and I´ll try to help you

I don't think so. But thank you for the offer.

The problem is DCS is being super aggressive with texture LOD distance.

Bumping this topic. I have the same problem, and since I basically moved to ground hugging it's becoming slightly annoying. I can't for the life of me figure out which setting is causing this low LOD, even when cranking up all settings to high and having almost a slideshow, the low LOD persists. Mods make no difference, Nvidia settings make no difference.

Anyone already figured out how to solve this?

I've noticed that since the last Syria map update the building LODs are much better but only if you run high terrain textures, I see very little pop in with building textures 500 foot over Beruit now 🙂
