Curves for throttle?

Recommended Posts

  • 2 weeks later...

Since every throttle/stick is different, a curve is very personal IMO

The trick is to constantly move the throttle back and forth (pilots do this in RL too)

Every move you make with the stick can cause a change in speed, especially in the vertical plane of motion.

Make small throttle corrections and practice a lot. You need to develope a certain "feel" for it.

Best way to find your ideal curves - get in the air, pick a speed, let's say 300kts, then try to stick with that speed for a bit. Afterwards try to fly formation with the tanker, without actually tanking, and repeat the process.

Adjust curves from there and repeat.
