Hi gays,

 

I recently bought the hind and have been flying it and using ATGMs. So they're kind of cool but im already kind of bored with the hind. Are there new advanced weapon systems that will be coming in the future or is it all mainly just dumb bombs and rockets and cannons?

There will be better ATGMs but they work pretty much the same way as the current ones.

Try a few different versions of autorotation. Do a low one say landing on a pad between buildings. Land on rooftops. One engine U/S landings. Overweight take off to from hover, rolling take off, nosewheel take off and list continues. There is actually tons of stuff one can do without even getting to shooting. Low level stuff with bad visibility. Then do all of that again in the dark. If you are bored with just firing unguided munitions at easy targets. Make a fast mission with experienced enemy and lots of these. That should give you something to think about.

 

I cannot say that I am bored with it. On the contrary. I am finding new ways to work with the Hind and so far I am very happy having the module.

Yesterday I heard the best line on differences between Apache and Hind: Apache is nice, with all those screens and buttons and guided weapons, but if you hit a target with Hind, it's just skill.

Hey what SAR server?

I got some questions - does the switch that turns your hind into a radio beacon for emergencies work?

If not what do downed pilots xmit on and what do u use to find em?

What switch? AFAIK, CSAR script beacons every pilot with ADF

I love this server you can do SAR or even fight fires via water drops, (you obviously dont see water drop) but smoke dissipates the more water you dump on it - the scripting is amazing and you can find SAR's by F10 Map, scripted messages directing you to targets and smoke deployment

It will get R-60m missiles. You could go on a multiplayer server and hunt other players. Gazelles on the Growling Sidewinder server are often getting many kills.

Get on Rotorheads, fly a csar mission in the mountains, transport troops and cargo to the front, take on a Strela or AAA head on , get jtac tasking in the cities. Attack factories, Escort nato convoys thru insurgent territory.

Theres apparently an emergency switch in the hind than when flipped broadcasts on an emergency freq

There's no switch per say but any unit or human downed and emitting on those four emergency frequencies will provide CSAR adf

Transmitting on radio is emitting. Spamming radio commands while having your radio on a Freq X will point nearby ADF receivers tuned on this frequency toward the emmitter, AFAIK.

Thank u and ya idc about being able to talk on those radios.  Others will suffice.  Thr d/g IS important for me and I can't seem to get it to work damnit!

By the by the reason I thought the Russians had a. Built in emergency transponder is because there's a big red DELETE button and next to it a flip button labelled crisis or something. Nothing obvious happens flipping it.  I'd assumed it'd loop an sos broadast? I mean if u can't save em a least u can't target the enemies new targets?

Anyone got new csmpaigns or missions in mind? Please?

Look I'm sure a few others would too but I'd happily throw 20 for a afghsntsi war camp (I don't think fulda gap would work without r,69s and other issues )

I'd also happily throw in for HINDS over Afghanistan when mape is made.

And my dream map. Using the new marianias map would fit well for this small isle chain that's th last stop to the island from mainland. The Chinese have to take it to continue.  This would be a fantastic campaign ,- air prep,;. Invsasion.  Sea action.  We could suspend disbelief and set it in 2006.  However otherwise look at all the new deka Chinese stuff; the carriers.  The Jeff makes a superb stand in PLAAF fighter since the J11 is all we have otherwise.

And sure sure China doesn't use mi24s but they rlly wouldn't look outta place to most and can easily be excused away.

The charm to this besides my two fav planes is for rotor heads there's deep strikes cas; evacs etc fixed wing gets dca and oca and the jf17s are top tier In game strike weapons and they'll have to pull their weight

This. I watched a pair of mi-24s directed by a gci make numerous sequential passes over ground forces embedded in a forest. The Hinds followed close behind each other and turned them all into scrap metal. It was enjoyable to watch as I circled in my mi-8.

We should be getting dual r77 missile launchers and stealth autoguided smart bombs.

Also we'll have the new container that drops a swarm of drones and automatically kills all the enemies in a 200nm x 200nm killing box.

All is normal mi-24P hind weapon loadout as per 1970s and onwards

Everything is coming in 2 weeks...

We do need more campaigns, however the Hind is in a too raw state for most designers to go for it, not to mention it's been released recently and campaigns take time to make. Patience.
