seven10
Recently I updated my gpu from an RX 480 to a 6800XT, however I noticed that after that I started getting flickering on the doppler radar after designating a point of interest. This happens for me no matter what mission I use the Hornet on. I made a short video of it here using the instant action weapon practice on the Caucus map. The mods I have installed are the Civilian Aircraft Mod, F-22, Tacview, and DCS SRS. Is this a known issue or is there a way to solve it? I have dumped my fxo and metashaders2 folder as well as doing a fresh install of the gpu driver after I installed the card. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted September 13, 2021 ED Team Share Posted September 13, 2021 Hi, welcome to the forum, probably best to remove all unofficial mods and run a slow repair or verify if you are steam. if possible please attach your dcs log which can be found in your saved games dcs log folder. File just called dcs, it may have some more clues. Thanks Forum rules - DCS Crashing? seven10
Hi, thanks! I tried removing mods, but it looks like tacview is still showing in my log. I did a full verification of the DCS files and then tried the same instant action again and had the same issue show up with the doppler. dcs.log Current system: AMD Ryzen 7800X3D | ASUS TUF Nvidia RTX 4080 16GB | G.Skill 64GB Trident Z Neo DDR5 6000mHz | Quest Pro Matrix: @seven10:matrix.jointspecialforces.org
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted September 13, 2021 ED Team Share Posted September 13, 2021 Thanks, Can you ensure you are on the latest graphics driver also. The only instance I have reported of this is with SLI / CROSSFIRE configurations. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? seven10
Yes, I'm currently on Radeon version 21.6.1 which is the most recent non-optional driver. I tried the optional driver as well, but had many issues with transparent and semi transparent textures in other titles. When I rolled back I did a complete fresh install of the driver. I'm definitely not on a CROSSFIRE setup. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I am running 3 monitors, 1 as my main game display in 2k, and 2 for web browsers and other apps in 1080p.
