Did it work that time?

Nope.
I just did it the old school way. Copied your lua and pasted it in mine and reviewed the changes. Thank you, the Library has been updated! Surely we'll have another chance to try this Pull thing again in the future.

So I've been using this great plugin for a while. But today I discovered the lua script for the A10C radios only works for UHF. The VHF AM and VHF AM seem not to be controllable when trying to set frequencies.

is this for the A-10C or A-10C II? Also, can you share your profile?

Also, please define "not to be controllable". I think I am seeing funny things too.

Unresponsive seems to be a better word. I think I've selected the correct DCS commands for the buttons. For exampole,

VHF AM, only increasing the freqs works. Then the 'tens' assignment is missing. The 'ones' button affects the 'tens., the decimal affects the ones, etc.

The button assignment for the 'hundreds' for the increase and the decrease are properly set (3009 and 3010) but attempts to decrease the vhf freq fail.

I think it may be a different data type that's expected but I do not remember where that stuff is stored.

Attached please find the lua script as well as the streamdeck profile.

OK, so what am I doing wrong here? My F/A-18C works perfectly with other people's StreamDeck profiles, as well as my own extensive one. All of which is based around direct interface and not keystrokes, via Charles Tytler's DCS Interface

I have placed the UH-60L.lua file in my '.....\\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\DCS-ExportScript\ExportsModules' from https://github.com/asherao/DCS-ExportScripts

The StreamDeck XL Profile I downloaded from here - https://github.com/asherao/DCS-ExportScripts/blob/master/docu/StreamDeck Examples/MH-60L Mod by Bailey Release.streamDeckProfile

When I open up the UH-60L in Hot Start from a mission, all the engine data feed is present, electronic switches such as SAS 1, 2 etc 'seem' to light up on the helicopter centre console

However, if I cold start, the switches move, but do not actually do anything, the levers do not move, as I said, electronic switches 'appear' to work, but not 100% on that. Everything on the Engine status seems to work fine, and there is a tonne of information being displayed

What have I missed??? Am I just being an idiot? or should I say, more of an idiot than normal

Thanks

Toni

You aren't missing much. The UH-60L is still in development and therefore a number of things you would expect to work don't due to the state of the module itself. Your streamdeck is likely fine. The connection is likely fine. The only thing that I can say for sure (more or less) work is the exported data such as engine readings and HSI readings. The UH-60 devs are still working on switches and what not.

Now that I think of it, this stems from a problem that I found maybe over 2 years ago, reported, and ED never got around to fixing.
Yesterday I tried to rebind by hand with no luck, unfortunately. If you can, maybe normal streamdeck hotkeys may work for you instead.

Sorry Bailey, maybe I was not clear in my post, I mean switches like the Battery Switch, APU Gen, APU Start, Fuel Levers etc.

Yes, those switches do not work correctly in the module with stream deck.

They are working (3009, 3010,..) in my SD profile. I set the value change to 0.1 and -0.1. But I can read out the whole AM (2002) or FM frequency (2004) "only"

The Problem is when you look up the ID for the AM or FM 1st frequency it has a limit from 0 to 1 and a value change of 0.1 so thats 10 possibilities.

But you can change the frequency from 03 to 15 in the A-10 so thats 12 possibilities, after 1 circle the value changes.

For example: When you start the aircraft: AM 3X.XX is 0.30 and if you circle till 15X.XX and then 3X.XX again the 1st value is 0.50 and so on....

@skypickle You can try my profile if you want. Its for the SD XL

How are people getting streamdeck to work w community mods? The a4, the uh60,etc The plug-in does not see the folder unless you change the path to the mods folder in the saved games directory. And when you do that, it does not find anything.

See below:

Spoiler

Copy the mod into `DcsInstalLocation/mods/aircraft/` and delete the mods entry.lua. Not ideal, but it will get things to work.

Where is DcsInstalLocation located or do you create one and if so, where?

Trackir4 using the latest Trackir 5 software, Win10 Pro [Creator Update] updated from Win7Pro Pro 64Bit, Intel® Core™ i5-2500 3.30 GHz 6M Intel Smart Cache LGA115 , GigaByte GA-Z68XP-UD4 Intel Z68 Chipset DDR3 16GB Ram, GTX MSI Gaming 1060 [6 GB] Video Card, Main Monitor 1 on left 1920x1080 Touchscreen Monitor 2 on right 1920x1080 .

Its where the game is installed. So even tho after market community mods are put into the saved game/mopds/aircraft folder, in order to get the DCS streamdeck plugin to read the functions of the aircraft controls, you have to put the aircraft mod where all the other official planes are stored.

Look for the mods folder in this picture. IT's where you put community mods. Note the path: saved games-DCS.openbeta

Capture.JPG

Streamdeck does not in there. Instead, you have to put a community mod in here:

Capture2JPG.JPG

Note the different path. Streamdeck only looks in here.

I am working on a lua and profile for the AH64D. Both will be publicly available. If you have any requests, input, or would like to help, please feel free to do so.

Do you think it will be possible to pull the text / info from the MFD and create buttons with the current MFD button label?

Short answer, yes. More involved answer, it will take a lot of work with logic to make it work.

Soo.... A bit early - But when do you expect to be able to release the lua? When you have the update to test with or? 😛 cant wait to rock that 30mm gun!

I certainly didn’t expect someone to ask within 2hrs of release, haha. Nevertheless, I’ll try to get something made before the end of the weekend and possibly an extremely basic lua before then. If you are on my discord you can see the GitHub Updates channel and get the updates as they happen.
