MIghtymoo
Ref. patch note: Quote Adjusted simulation of post-penetration physics for delayed-fuze bombs. They will now penetrate the ground and objects, and they will decelerate accordingly. Known issue: low impact velocity bombs with long fuze delays might “hang” in the air after penetrating an object. Improved MIM-72G missile performance: increased autopilot response, improved engine parameters, reduced smoke opacity, and added the proximity fuze. Can someone comment on which modules and bombs can actually utilize this function? I have tried to figure this out for the A-10C II and I am lost. Japo32
I think any of them that allow delay fuze. But I think is just a visual candy... as if you delay or not the bomb the result will be the same with a plane inside a bunker. I asked that to Grim Reapers that made the test, and he said that fusing or not, the result would be the same. A destroyed plane inside the bunker. Hope it would make a different result in future.
MIghtymoo
I have seen the video to verify that post penetration now works . I was looking more for info about which modules and bombs have delayed fuze options. I can't find any in the A-10C II. Mikeck
I think it’s any of the GBUs….laser guided or GPS. If you can choose between “instant” snd “delayed”, then you will get the penetration w/delay if you select “delayed” fusing. In other words, it doesn’t have to specifically be a “Penetrator” bomb like a GBU-24. May be limited to 1,000 or 2,000 pound bommbs; don’t know b/c I would drop anything but a 2,000lb bomb on a hardened shelter. So try the GBU-10 or the GBU-31(? Whatever the 2,000lb JDAM is)

rayrayblues
What we really need is fuze delay on warbirds. We don't really have any planes that are designed for dive bombing and therefore, a low pass to drop bombs more accurately always results in blowing yourself up as well. 3 SLAVA UKRAINI MoBo - ASUS 990FX R2 Sabertooth, CPU - AMD FX 9590 @4.7Gb.
