Benchmark - F/A-18C - Flyover Beirut 1.5

This is a load-heavy benchmark. Flying in a F/A-18C over the city of Beirut, which is the most building dense city in the DCS World. The mission file is enclosed alongside with the corresponding track file. Updated on 2023-03-18

Updated version 1.5. Here are the things happening:

1. Time is sunset with city having the lights on;
2. Strong wind with thick clouds moving;
3. Rainy weather;
4. Inspired by Afterburner, 2 flights of F-14B fly in front of you;
5. 10 CG and 10 DDG lined up along the flight path and keep launching cruise missiles and the missiles fly in the same direction as you -- unlike the movie, F/A-18C is faster than these missiles;
6. When getting near to the harbour, 7 tankers are moving towards you;
7. A super carrier is launching 4 flights of F/A-18C launching;
8. B-52 above perform carpet bombing and bombs exploding around;
9. 2 flights of 3 Apaches taking off from city buildings and may cross path with your plane; and
10. Flight of aircraft taking off at Beirut International Airport and heading south west.

The track file, which is mostly hands-off, where the pilot is mostly looking forward and the only interaction is setting the auto-pilot altitude-hold.

BVR Training Missions Level 01 (beta)

A simple set of missions to learn Beyond Visual Range (BVR) combat -- from learning to use the radar, targeting and learning different weapons.

 

F/A-18C and Marianas map are required.

Level 01 play:
select the loadout fr om the list
take off from Saipan International Airport.
for all the scenario, there are Tu-22 bombers, at ACE level, heading the Saipan from random direction, and the job is intercept them before they release their payload
an AWACS will help out with the situation awareness.
remember: the targets will shoot back!

Scenarios are:
1 group of 3 bombers at 30,000 feet
2 groups of 2 bombers each at 30,000 feet, the next group appears after the first group is destroyed
2 groups of 2 bombers each at 30,000 feet, both groups show up at the same time.
1 group of 3 bombers at 1,000 feet
2 groups of 2 bombers each at 1,000 feet, the next group appears after the first group is destroyed
2 groups of 2 bombers each at 1,000 feet, both groups show up at the same time.
1 group of 3 bombers at either 1,000 or 30,000 feet, random
2 groups of 2 bombers each at either 1,000 or 30,000 feet, random the next group appears after the first group is destroyed
2 groups of 2 bombers each at either 1,000 or 30,000 feet, random both groups show up at the same time.

Hi, long time no see. I have updated the benchmark file because the old track file no longer works in OB 2.9. Also, more events added -- carpet bombing using regular iron bombs and cluster bombs, jets get shot down by SAM and AAM, etc. Things get extra busy when the player plane gets into Beirut.  It can push a system to even towards the limit. I hope you like this one more and your comments are always welcomed.
