Paracord holding down front console

Not paracord, it’s bungee cord. Most pilots use it to hold down charts, papers, and similar items out of the way so they don’t end up loose inside the cockpit.

It is a very nice touch. I only noticed it in VR. Looks really nice!

They actually use a saddle bag that's made to lay over the top of the glare shield that holds all that stuff for them now anyway. you can see it in the picture above. The bungee cord is obsolete. 

Actually we connect the bag to the cord (with Velcro straps or metal clips depending on the bag type) so It doesn’t move around excessively.
