You can set the clouds to Ultra and bump you pixel density to say around 1.8 or higher. That takes care of the cloud issue.... but, as I said, it causes other performance issues that I can not live with. I would love for ED to fix this. I think it comes to two things.. you need an excellent CPU which I don't have, and the other is just plain VR and Distance, I seem to get flicker with heavy clouds and less with high scattered. I've not played other flight simulators and am interested to know if they have similar issues? I have a pretty good system, as you do, and the issues persist. I also have the same problems as you do. In IL2, the cloud system does no suffer as badly as it does in DCS. But it's not perfect either. I'm hoping Vulkan/multithreading/multicore will fix this and other issues in this game. Now, with all that said, for me their is no better flight simulation out there.
