Please could we (at least the option to) have a clean canopy and gunsight?

I know you guys are in the process of updating the cockpit.

I've been around many aircraft - old and new - over the years and even the krappiest, older ones have clean, clear canopies if they're in flying condition. She's already challenging enough to fly and fight, so at least could we please have a clean canopy? There is a user mod that allows this, but it triggers integrity check in MP.

It was allready done. However there are 5 persons who like to have a shit on a windshield, so magnitude made a windshield dirty back again. Look here:

 And these people holding up examples in museums as 'help derp look this is how they are'. But if you've actually been around real aircraft that are old but still flying, the cockpits look really terribly scratched and chipped up, but the canopies are beautifully clean on well maintained aircraft. And the clean canopies on DCS aircraft still have some artefacts, crazing and reflections as the sun moves around on them (I actually remember when this effect first came out on LOMAC and it looked amazing then and still does).

My mod nukes all dirt and reflections on the canopy, and sight, and passes IC:

There's also lots of other mods here that also pass IC and remove less glass effects if you don't like a full nuking:

Doesn't work for me. I installed it but I have problems. I tried a path:

None of them worked for me, also I don't want to get banned on PvP servers, so i capitulated. Flying MiG 19 is easier

Did you change "x" and "your name" to your individual settings? Those are both placeholders for what drive you have your saved games folder in and your windows user name. It won't get you banned, as long as you pass the IC check your good.
