Mirage F1 chaff and flare dispensers in teaser trailer

So we see The Mirage F1 dumping flares in the trailer and what appears to be flare/chaff dispensers however these look different to the ones seen in other documents that required external mounting.

I did hear that the Spanish Mirage F1s had integrated chaff/flares dispensers. Can anyone elaborate?

  • CrazyGman changed the title to Mirage F1 chaff and flare dispensers in teaser trailer

The F1 in the first picture Is a Moroccan one, they have been modernised to M2000 standard and they are very different from the other F1s

I'm guessing it's probably just a texture, I can't find anything for Spanish or Moroccan F.1s that have integrated countermeasure dispensers.

I've only come across the Corail chaff/flare and the Phimat chaff dispensers, the Corail system is mounted conformally underneath the wings, and the Phimat takes up a hardpoint. From what information I can find, the Moroccan F1EM IV (MF2000 upgrade) has access to both.

I would expect the Spanish F1Ms to have some sort of integrated dispenser system tbh. People are going way overboard with variants, we're definitely not getting something as specific as a Moroccan upgraded one.

I think you're right, it looks like the F1M does appear to have a countermeasure dispenser where the OP highlighted on the 1st screenshot, though the aircraft in said screenshot lacks an AAR probe, which suggests to me its probably the CE with a Moroccan livery:

It seems some Spanish F1's have it and some do not from these pictures.

I think it's still there in your 2nd picture, it's just loaded (and so appears white), your other pictures show what one looks like empty.

DCS doesn't model the individual cartridges, so they always appear either filled or empty (some modules have the depicted as full, some depict them as empty).

Huh, well you learn something new every day, in which case, I'm pretty sure your OP simply shows a Mirage F1CE with a Moroccan livery.

Yeah that makes sense, it does seem a bit tricky to get information on what has what, but Then with all planes exported and done in different batches (not to mention traded between airforces) it's hard to nail down concrete info.
