Herk
Mayday Mayday Mayday Elevator control almost nil because elevator stuck in up position. Remedies Tried: FCS BIT Test, Unbind/rebind/map, DCS Update, DCS Repair, unplug Winwing Orion joystick, and reboot PC numerous times. All aforementioned things done numerous times and still no joy. It does it in any mission/instant action or ME tried. Here is a screenshot: Edited December 23, 2021 by Herk spacing
razo+r
Flaps half or full and trim to 0. Or press takeoff trim button.
Foka
T/O Trim will set elevator to +12, not 0.
Herk
Meant normal 12. Problem is the tail is stuck. I've tried everything as per above plus an image of it. Still does it. Can't fly, it Won 't take off. It moves, but full translation is reduced.
rob10
Activate your "Show controls indicator" (check your bindings to see what it's bound to). That will show you where the controls are and let you see if what you're trying is causing them to move at all or not. This really seems like a binding issue somewhere. Double check that you're binding and flying in sim mode (rather than game mode -- well double check both are same). Clear the binding for trim/pitch/roll even in columns where they look empty (shouldn't help, but weird things have happened). Especially make sure there isn't an axis assigned (especially for trim) even if you haven't assigned yourself. Are you setting flaps to 1/2 (likely full would work) for take-off? If you don't, that can mess with your controls significantly. And post a track of this occurring. It won't show a binding problem on your part, but someone may pick up on something you're doing to cause this that you don't realize you're doing. flyingtom
+1 with 9thHunt, updates can mess up the axis allocations , so check if axis X, Y Z are still ok and if there is any double allocation on the axis.
