#-key works on ground to trigger the comms menu, menu is working
NWS button on joystick in flight does not trigger the comms menu (despite seeing the button pressed on the cockpit-stick).

In the F-5, once in air, it acts as the Radio PTT button.

Interesting. What does the mic button on the throttle do then?

It is also a PTT switch. Why? I imagine pilot’s wanted to have one on each so they could transmit while looking behind them.

I see.

Am I just blind or is this NWS PTT functionality nowhere mentioned in the manual?

Omg, thanks!
I was searching the manual for "NWS", "radio", "PTT" and "microphone"...
Well, I learned something.

Hey guys, on this topic -- I actually like that the NWS doesn't bring up the comms menu. It's better for use with SRS.

Idealy there would be an option to enable/disable this behavior for both PTT switches in the module. Razbam's M2000C has the option for this in the special options section (disable PTT bringing up comms menu) and it's a godsend when using SRS with the in-game PTT binds.

I would like to request that this feature be made standard across all modules.

Nice idea! Always wondered why this didn't become standard.
Are you going to add this to the official wishlist?

FYI, the F-5 NWS button now acts as a DCS VoiceChat PTT.
