Reset TOT

How can one reset the TOT once it's not needed anymore?

I can un-target the waypoint but the HSI remains showing a desired GS.

Entering 0 for TOT it takes that as 00:00:00.

So how to get rid of it?

TY!

  • Solution

Method 1:

Simply set TGT via HSI/SEQUFC to any WP which is lower than your currently selected WP.

Example:
Currently selected WP = 3, disable TOT by setting TGT to WP 0, 1 or 2.

Method 2:

Unbox SEQ1 in the HSI format page and reselect & rebox it if you wish.

Tried it out and have to say that for me only making WP0 TGT works to get rid of the previous entered TOT.

Still good enough!

I've checked the procedures and both methods worked as I posted the hints above. Method 2 (unboxing SEQ1) should work as well.

Let's say I set a TOT on SEQ1. Unboxing SEQ1 makes all TOT indications (HUD/HSI) disappear.

However, once I set SEQ1 active again, the TOT-data is back as well. So for me it's not actually resetting it.

I'll give it another look again the next days.

As long as one method works I'm all happy. 🙂

I think you can just colonise the TGT and waypoint number again, ie, setting the waypoint as TGT toggles on and off.

So, if you colonise TGT, then input 4 (example waypoint 4) then enter, it will be boxed in the waypoint sequence. If you the colonise TGT and input 4 again then enter, it should unbox the 4 in the waypoint sequence.

Cheers!

That's strange...

I did some further testing (OB 2.7.9.18080):

Setup TOT to WP5 for examle (TGT -> 5 -> ENT -> [5] in the SEQUFC will get boxed; TOT -> hhmmss -> ENT);
This activates the TOT indication in the HUD and HSI and the [5] in the SEQUFC is still boxed.

To deactivate the TOT indications either

  1. set TGT to WP0 or
  2. unbox SEQ1. The TOT indications are deactivated, even if you return to SEQ1 and rebox it. Unboxing SEQ1 works as long as you don't unbox the TGT WP in the SEQUFC (to unbox simply return to the HSI/DATA/SEQUFC/TGT -> 5 -> ENT -> 5 in the SEQUFC is unboxed now). Unboxing SEQ1 while no TGT WP in the SEQUFC is boxed keeps the TOT indications remaining.

That may be what happened... Meaning the TGT WP being reset.

TY for looking into it!
