Mission Enhancer Package - A mod for request live support during a mission

This is great.  So, we can have only one flight at a time?  Once the flight lands or is destroyed then we can create another?  Do you have to create another 'DO_TAKEOFF' and 'DO_RP'?  Or, is the original ones good for the duration of the mission?  Thanks.

Yes, only one flight of each type at a time (1 SEAD + 1 Ground Attack + 1 sweep....).

Once the SEAD (for example) is destroyed you can call another SEAD, but not before.

You can use the original 'DO_TAKEOFF' and 'DO_RP' if you want, or you can use new ones. In fact you can:

1. create one 'DO_RP' for all the flights

2. Create a 'DO_TAKEOFF' in airfield 1 and call a SEAD. They will spawn at airfield 1, take of and rally at 'DO_RP'

3. Create a 'DO_TAKEOFF' in airfield 2 and call a Ground Attack.  They will spawn at airfield 2, take of and rally at 'DO_RP'

4. Create a 'DO_TAKEOFF' in airfield 3 and call a Sweep.  They will spawn at airfield 3, take of and rally at 'DO_RP'

5. join them at 'DO_RP'  and push them all (or one of them at a time)

Imagination is the limit. Each time you create a new mark, it will "overwrite" the last one of its type.

v2.0 is near?

"En dos semanas" XD XD XD

No, seriously, not in a short term. Weekends are to short and I am focus on learning the Apache.

I have to complete/debug many of the new options for the chopper DO_ESCORT and DO_SCOUT missions. So you will have to wait for my hollidays or so 🙂

Thanks for your reply daemon.  Some documentation would be helpful.  How do you find out what all the "DO_xxxx" commands are?  Great add on though.  Lotta fun.

Hi Chicki,

v2.0 will have some kind of documentation, because it will be more complex, but V1.0 has not many commands to learn.

The current documentation for MEP v1.0 is the first video of this thread. There it is shown all the "DO_XXXX" commands and waht they actually do.

Hiya,

First of: thanks for making this mod!

It's has given me and my mate (RIO in my F-14) loads of fun and much needed help during heavy missions while we are training our skills in the F-14.

Great to see that you are working on a newer version for the apache and other helo's. Keep up the good work!!

Since I'm not a real wizard with scripting and modding lua-files, it takes me quiet some time to find out how scripts are written and where to find some things.

I did find the specific details on the planes, weapons and number of jets in the packages and know how to change some details to get variation in each missions that has your enhancerScript "injected". So far all the aircraft come from the "install-dir/coremods" with standard skins......

This raises 2 questions for which I hope to find the right answers here? 😉

- Can the skins be (somewhat easily) changed?

- Can I add planes from outside the "coremods"-dir?

I would love to get the YF-12A Blackbird in a mission as the recon plane! Is it possible to get planes from mods in the enchancerScript?

Thanks in advance for any reply!

Any chance that in 2.0 we can ask for a mounted Infantry convoy? I will explain myself.

Imagine you're in the Kiowa, you find a enemy infantry hideout/weapons cache, you mark the area and a convoy in Humvees or Strykers is generated and advance at full speed to the marked location. Total immersion!

I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!

Fantastic script!

A small request/suggestion for 2.0 if it is not too late: Allow the use of optional airplane templates per mission type ( a template is no more that a group set to delay start with a specific loadout) and have the script pick one randomly. If there is no template defined for the type of mission, use the current methodology . This will help mission creators to adapt to the time frame and specific conditions for the mission.

Thanks a lot for your work.

Hey.  Got a question about the Recon function.  It generates a TACAN station.  Does the TACAN transmit?  That would be great.  Thanks.

Emmmm, good point.

I don't think so.

I've never seen it that way. I chose TACAN because it is a very small "unit", and do not interfere in the combat so much.

But maybe it can be done in future versions. It is worth investigating.
