Stable install messed up, uses Open Beta Saved Games folder

So, when I saw that stable was the same as Open Beta now, instead of downloading a whole mountain of files to update my Stable install, I (stupidly!) decided to copy over my Open Beta install to the 'DCS  World' folder, thinking I could just do a repair or clean and everything would be simple.

How wrong I was!

The Stable version is using my Open Beta Saved Games folder, so I guess there are files within that point to it.  I just can't work out how to resolve this.

Can anyone help me sort out the mess?

Looks like this has to do with the autoupdate.cfg and dcs_variant.txt files.  I've edited them and things look better. Can some please post their Stable Release versions of these 2 files for me to check?

The autoupdate.cfg file lists the modules available for installation. For other users, this file will be different from your file.  File dcs_variant.txt specifies the DCS version. Even if the DCS version numbers matched, it's still different versions. But when updating one of the versions, the updater will copy the necessary files from one version to another.
Now just run the repair for each of the versions. The first four lines for the stable version are in the screenshot. In case of failure, create a support request.

No, it's not. The folders for the Stable version and for the Open Beta version should be different.

I use the dcs_variant.txt to specify/force the name of the DCS saved games folders. 

Let's say I want an older installation of DCS 2.5 and use the saved games folder DCS.Rwteo I just put Retro in the dcs_variant.txt

Thanks but I don’t think you understood my point. Probably my explanation. Yes, the stable copy was using the OB saved game folder and that was what I was trying to resolve. 
As I said above, I boiled it down to the 2 files I mentioned. I asked for someone to post theirs, not to use them, but to see what settings, e.g. “branch” were set to. 
I would appreciate someone posting these 2 files so I can make a comparison. Thanks.

For release have an empty dcs_variant.txt, and it will use \Saved Games\DCS
If you enter Stable in it, it will use DCS.Stable

I don't think the dcs_variant.txt file are created by default when you install. Pretty sure I had to make one myself when things got strange.

Thanks. Yes, I have put ‘branch’ in as blank and all seems OK, but I would still like someone to post the two files just to check a few things. 
The dcs_variant file must be created by default as I have them in both stable and OB and I have never created them myself.

@imacken i only r un OB so my variant file only shows "openbeta"

dcs_variant.txt
