Lixma 06
Can't get a signal (audio or needle) on any frequency or band.
MildWeasel
I had the same issue but found that switching the TLF/TLG switch to TLG worked on the ARK-5 Panel, I thought it was supposed to stay on TLF but possibly a bug?
Lixma 06
Thanks, I can get the needle working in TLG which, as you say, doesn't seem right, but no audio in either mode.
MildWeasel
If you mean the morse code audio, then you should be able to hear that in TLG. Make sure the volume knob is turned right up.
Lixma 06
Nah, still can't hear anything (unless I'm missing something).
Jags1041
Even if I hear the Morse code.. when I put it to compass, the need doesn't track, and I'm only 20km's away. Using Georgia map. 395khz for Gudata.

Sometimes I get a full signal strenght of an NDB, but no identifier/morse code, and thus no direction finding. Did you switch the RSIU-4V radio to "Radio Compass" (#2 in manual)? 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven

I've tried various NDBs now on Caucasus, and while I still sometimes have a good signal strength but no morse code, this seems to be related to not having hit the right frequency perfectly well. It's odd that the signal strength is maxed out then though. On tracking Gaudata NDB though, I was able to track it well with the needle, tracks attached. Not sure what caused the problem you described. MiG-19_NDB_ADF_Gaudata.trk 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven
