Compass additional white marks function?

Hi Guys,

anyone happens to know, what is the actual function of the two additional white marks left and right 30° from the heading reference line on the  compass? I surmise it's not just for you to know where is 30° left and right... Right?... 😊

Thanks

Ha ha... so you say no particular function or usage, just a simple geometry class for pilots who cant read the numbers on the gauge? 🤣

Declassified german radio traffic over Schweinfurt:

....sssssst "Red 2, do you know how does 30 degrees look like?"

"Two to lead, erm.. negative!"

"Lead to Two, there are two white marks on the top of the compass, left and right from the heading reference mark. It's there for you to memorize it. Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT look at the numbers on the compass !"

"Roger, Wilco !"

😇

I can access the link just fine.

Btw, any help in a cockpit are highly welcome, even if its as simple as adding markers 30 degrees left/right on the compass.

Now I can access it too. Link was corrected exactly 6 minutes before your klick.
