how do i add weapons on it in mission builder ?"

i can not see to be able to ADD ANY weapons on either my A-4c skyhawk OR  F-5 Tiger     ... the weapon  drop down list is either BLANK..or  not clickable..as a red X shows up..no weapons will load.

  How do I overcome this ?

If you're seeing red X, it means you have "Payload restriction" menu enabled. Untick this option and you should be fine.

Some explanations:

• Payload restriction menu allows you to allow/restrict the use of specific weapons on specific weapon stations.
• Weapon selection menu (which appears once you untick "Payload restriction") allows you to arm your aircraft.

thanks  i WILL try that as the f-5 tiger has NO pre-loads at All to even choose from   just blank grey lines  Nothing at all in them. the a-4 showed some loadouts..But did not allow me to select/choose them as doing so added a red X   so, I will go back and look for your "payload restriction" box.

Another thing: if you can't see any weapons, ensure the history mode filter is disabled (clock icon at the bottom of the mission editor).
