FORGE: Dynamic Cockpit

Hey guys, what exactly is meant by FORGE: Dynamic Cockpit on the roadmap?  Does this mean that for the cold start, some switches are set in a random order or change only some optical elements every spawn? I can not quite figure out from the description

A bit of both, but we have yet to see how far we can take it and how much of it makes sense time-wise. For the time being we are still concentrating on getting all the core-promises done, upon which we will dive deeper into the matter and have a more informed answer for you. Thank you for your kind patience!

That sounds great! If the switches are not always in the same position, it finally makes sense to go through the switches before the cold start. This is a great addition and brings some immersion.
Now the question of questions: When will you start to dive in at this feature? Q2/3/4?

For squadrons that operate the same aircraft BuNos mission to mission, it would nice to have a way to make the difference fixed by livery or fixed in general so that a pilot getting in a certain jet would know what kind of items would be in the cockpit already. Would add some immersion too, IMO.

If we do switched panels, then it would not change what items you have, just where.

I actually don’t like this idea. The PC would have set up the switches for the pilot before they got their. So what your saying is the PC was bad? Lol! Really though the pilots I dealt with mostly just checked the fire lights (I was a PC on Hornets) before start up with a quick glance everywhere else. Cockpit set up was the PC job lol.

Am I understanding that correctly that you as the PC had a discussion with the pilot about the setup?

The idea ofc is not to blame a bad setup on a bad PC, but to provide a bit of variety, which to our knowledge did exist in setups. As to who was involved in the decisions, or similar, I would not know. As I understood it, the pilots got, what the ground crew did, but again, no first hand experience here. Please feel free to chime in. Thank you!
