I can't believe my EYES!!!!! You have made 2022 shine brighter than ever! I dreamed endlessly of seeing the F-4 Phantom II and other Vietnam-era jets in my sleep. Frankly, with Covid and all, it's been work, work, work  and somehow things just seemed a little dull in my life, the humdrum of each passing day, framing homes for the wealthy ( I'm a carpenter/ Framer) with no end i sight! That is why when I come home, my little escape is DCS World, MSFS 2020 and IL2. ( I used to fly as a private pilot when I was young, no longer but I sure miss those blue skies up there!) DCS gives me a chance to live out my dreams and chill out, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday, I suppose many feel that way too. So THANK - YOU HEATBLUR AND DCS WORLD for the PHANTOM!!! A Vietnam map surely will come...!!!

This is great news!

The F4 has been a favourite for years and having the HEATBLUR/ED collaboration guarantees the best possible outcome.

Thanks very much guys. I look very much forward to hearing more about this amazing upcoming module...... All we need now is a SE Asia or European map!!!

Incredible news, this makes me so happy! For me this is the most significant DCS module development in years.

I think this is really the best possible outcome for the Phantom. Not only is it made by Heatblur, which in my oppionion are the leading module developer in DCS and are clearly ahead of everyone else in AI multicrew. This will also settle the endless variants discussions with not one but two -E variants and the naval version down the line. I could not be happier.

Not that anyone will care or answer from Heatblur - but the sole relevant question should at least be asked once:

Gero Finke is heavily involved in this module at least on a consultancy level, right, Right?

(Because said expertise combined with Heatblur coding would guarantee an outstanding module, imho ofc)

I've never ever watched a DCS trailer and was so surprised and speechless. And I'm for sure not the type to ever be speechless!

The Cold War 1947-1991 server will embrace the Phantom, hug it, kiss it, drool all over it and never let go!

Godspeed, Heatblur!

I can buy this module just for its afterburner visual effects 🙂

I would take what you see in the trailer with a pinch of salt, check the comments where they credit other company for the engine nozzles.

The very same the pilot looks real to me, not the intended 3d pilot model like some assume.

The future promise of Navy variants fills me with interest for this module. If it was just an F-4E, I'd know it was gonna be a great module but I'd pass on it. Jets whose runways don't move bore me.

What about runways in earthquake zones?

Heh. I can honestly say without facetiousness that non-US F-4Es (spec. Israel, Japan, and Greece) are FAR more interesting to me than USAF. I believe that a couple of those nations have tectonically active areas.
