What other modifications/variants will we get?

I know we’re starting off the F-4 family with the F-4E (with Agile Eagle) but what other variants/modifications you guys want and think we will receive?

I personally want a F-4EJ Kai and maybe an F-4E AUP.

Edit with more info on what F-4E we’re getting:

My vote for the next Variant would be a Naval variant. The more the merrier but the only other country specific variant I might expect would be a Royal Navy version. I'm not sure the other countries would sell enough F-4 DLC to be included if they're sold separately.  The Brits have a pretty strong presence in DCS to probably justify their version though.

Where did you read that?

SO heatblur doesn't clarify the block of  by DMAS modified phantoms... but that would mean a F4E block 48 or later,  since according to the Technical order 1F4E 626 ECP mod 2917 was only applied to aircraft 71-237 to 74-1653  which also means the TISEO EO sensor in the wing.

So is it safe to assume the DMAS modified phantom will be F4E block 53 that Belsimtek had planned?

There's a blog on the Internet by a former McDonnel Douglas engineer who posts a lot of materials he saved during his 40 years employment, including, needless to say, a lot of F-4 materials of any kind. Plus, look for a website dedicated to the F-4, shouldn't be too hard to find them both.

I suspect they'll start with a J because of the Forrestal.  Js served on the Forrestal until 1981-82.  There were actually Js operating in the Med during the first Sidra incident.  A Super J would be nice but I don't think they ever went to sea.

I hope for a G, I would love to do SEAD in a F-4.

The F-4E can do limited SEAD, with the AGM-45A/B Shrike (and it's various subvariants).

The G though obviously has the AN/APR-38 (later AN/APR-47) emitter locator replacing the gun, and as well as Shrike can equip the AGM-78 Standard ARM and later the AGM-88 HARM.

Didn't it also have the AGM-78 Standard ARM?

All I can say is that it's not present in USAF series non-nuclear weapon delivery manuals for the F-4E (I've got a -34-1-1 circa 1979, revised 1986 and a -34-1-1-2 circa 1983, revised 1986). Nor is it present in the stores limitations table or airplane loading table in the -1 (for which I've got one circa 1979 and circa 1984 revised 1990).

The Shrike and employment of it however, is described in the -34-1-1.

The Phantom we are getting is the best possible variant we could be getting in my opinion! As a follow up, I would most like to see a wild weasel G variant, and I hope we get the J for the Navy version.

With the updated E version being mentioned already I think the only other one I would want to see is an F-4D to do some more early Vietnam scenarios.

Fire only at close range, and only when your opponent is properly in your sights.
