Not broken here.

Secondary shadows apply only to supercarrier.

Was just trying PG at night, lighting seems much improved. Did notice that the lighting is much brighter and easier to see at distance in external view than in cockpit. Was flying towards bandar abbas , prob 20 miles out and in cockpit you could just make out the city/ airfield, but switching to external view it was lit up like crazy.. Maybe thats how its always been? Like I said earlier I stay away from night ops mostly, due to the mfd export brightness annoyance.. 

It was a bit stormy in my quick mission and I noticed what seemed to be more noticeable turbulence flying around ... maybe my mind is playing tricks on me LOL I don’t recall noticing the constant subtle random movements .. flying in the f-16 fwiw —- very much welcomed if it was an effect of improved weather systems

To my knowledge Caucasus is the oldest map, with the least modern objects, the least modern effects, terrain mesh etc. Persian Gulf is frequently used by large amounts of users AND has most/all new effects introduced with the 2.5 graphics engine upgrade.

It works ok if you has terrain objects as default, you can check the differences here:

Default terrain shadows its a killer on VR, thats why flat and off options exists

Very alarmed!  This open beta update today has wrecked flying for me.  :angry:  

I fly VR and have lost 10 to 20 FPS which has made this flight simulation unplayable for me.  :badmood:

Also, this update has done something strange to my Gametrix JetPad meaning that the vibration feedback has been messed up; update must have altered the telemetry data somehow.  :disgust:

In short this is a frustrating failure of an update.

And why have we got that awful new graph for on-screen FPS counter?  The old FPS counter was much better.  Why spoil something that used to work well?  :bye_3:  

Not happy with this disaster.

And yes, fxo and metashaders2 folders cleared.

VR got even worse..ED over-optimized.... I have lost 15 fps

You can minimize the graph and only show the fps.

Yep works - thank you. Until this update i used "View center" because you can press and hold it to adjust the camera in VR which was very handy. That doesn't work anymore.

And i lost 15 - 20 FPS in VR, too - even in a clean NTTR map (was locked at 45 FPS in 2,7), with occasional micro stuttering...

I haven´t done any FPS measurements, but yes, it feels like loosing a bunch of FPS for me as well 😞

From a quick test in pancake 4K, I seem to have lost around 10% fps (syria map, f16, clouds)

I hope that there is just some handbrake I haven’t found yet. 

Perhaps it has to do with the shadows that are definitely a bit off atm…..

Maybe it would help if we get some info ofwhat does it consist those improvement, maybe it only affects SteamVR, maybe it broken OpenXR...
