@BIGNEWYAre we going to have the stable release in the coming May?  Thanks.

Unsure at the moment it all depends on the feedback and tests from open beta.

thanks

The blue VR cursor persistence is good now, only a minor bug  remained: if I switch to external view (F2) then back to the cockpit then the blue cursor shows up, like I was moving the mouse. It will disappear quickly, but it's still a bug. The cursor should show up only upon mouse movement.

The secondary shadows hit the performance somewhat but thats to be exepted. Its a shame that they need to be enabled in order for the SC to show shadows in the strongest areas of lighting, where they are arguably not secondary shadows but primaries.

The new night ops deck crew also really shows the perfomance cost of the carrier lighting (in fact any lighting) which again is quite high.

I think its all to be expected and its not a really a complaint but I really hope that someday the perfomance is addressed and Im able to run DCS at 1080P, in 2D on my 3080 without having to lower the graphic settings according to the time of day.

Something i really enjoyed in the new patch was the shortened time for smoke from the BDU-33s. It's now possible to use them on the range with a flight of 4 and not obscure the target with smoke. This was a very good quality of life improvement, and our training squadrons on BSA rides will now carry the BDU-33. Thanks to ED for that fix.

Very nice to see all the AI improvements

Overall, quite an impressively long list of fixes!

I'm very disappointed though, that after 2,5 years of EA we still don't see any news on the Viper pilot body.. I really don't get how the Apache pilot is already in the works (although that pleases me), while the Viper apparently is not (looking at the status color in this thread).

Probably a silly question... what happened to 2.7.13? Did ED "Windows 9" it? rdlaugh.png

Superstition I would imagine. It would appear there has never been a 13 release.

2.7.14.23966, 14 is the patch version, am I right?

I believe that is correct. Sub version is the 5 digit number (initial release, hot fixes, etc.)

The 5 digit part is the build number.

BTW I love the options they added for the Mi-24P trim logic. I kinda wish we'd get - even though not part of the real thing - a separate trim button for the anti-torque pedals in the AH-64 as well just to give us more options to accomodate to our unrealistic input hardware, like non-FFB pedals that don't even have a damper installed. The AH-64 needs tons of boot compared to other helos, like 2/3 left for a hover...

In the same vein, there is mention of auto-rudder in list of thing to be added to Ah-64 by ED. The sound of that feature gives an idea of an automatic rudder control. Like a fly-by-wire control in the rudder section.
