Radar ground clutter causing massive performance hit, can we please fix this for Nvidea graphics cards on any drivers after GeForce Game Ready 442.74

So the radar still has a big hit to performance when left on and there is a lot of ground clutter. As in when you fly nape of the earth treetop level and have the radar on the the ground clutter causes frames to drop by 20-30 frames. turning off the radar or locking into C-scope brings the frames back. This only happens if you have a Nvidea drivers later then 442.74. If you have this driver or an earlier one this performance hit doesn't happen, but this driver is almost 2 years old now. Please can we get this fixed.

It has nothing to do with Nvidia, the radar code is not very optimized and hammers the CPU a bit hard at low sometimes. Hopefully in the future it gets sorted out, after the Corsair is out.

How do you explain the performance difference before and after 442.74 then?

The point is M3 claims it is fixed; it is not.

Also note this is not a feature request and most MiG pilots are not burning for the Corsair.

It is very difficult to affirm that 442.74 onwards the performance affected the MiG... depends on too many factors, what GPU? What hardware list? What OS? What configuration?... on so on and on.

"The point is M3 claims it is fixed; it is not"

You are correct, the issue was never completely fixed so I expect them to fix it as soon as possible.

It is fixed for some people but not for others.

it would be extremely helpful if users would post log files.

Everyone in Magnitude 3 has no issues with FPS loss.  More specifically, myself and one programmer, running the oldest nVidia graphics cards on the team, which are a 900 and 1000 series cards, have no FPS loss when the radar is on.

The fact the issues only occurs on certain systems, proves difficult to solve.  The log files will at least let the programmers see the hardware combination being used and perhaps find a pattern amongst the users having issues.  In turn, it could help find a solution working directly with ED's graphics programmers, or something else not thought of yet.

As one can see below, the pool is quite small and doesn't help when users (for example) only mention, "me to", or "I have 'such n such' hardware".  The logs display more information that can potentially help.

would log files from those not seemingly suffering help you build and understanding also?
