I was wondering if any of you play with random system failures turned on? I don’t have the time to fly an hour mission only to have to RTB b/c my jet broke. But I know others do have the ability to put in a 4-5 hour block of flying.

does it add to the immersion for you? Or is it just something to increase the challenge. I’m debating flipping a couple on but not sure if the juice is worth the squeeze

It certainly can add to the experience.

I don’t use it all the time, but sometimes I will just to add that variable. With renditions of older airframes failures certainly can be a relatively frequent occurrence. Newer aircraft can have a MTBF that makes it relatively infrequent. Ultimately it’s YOUR sim - make it as interesting as YOU desire.

On my case, no, not random … but I do like to activate certain failures while training, for example this is a landing with hydraulic failure:

I have it turned on, but I'm not sure which modules have it implemented actually and to what extent. In recent years I never experienced anything which could be clearly result of this feature, but I fly short warbirds missions for the most part.

i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
