It seems since the recent update in open beta, when you ignite the rato system, you get a half a second of boost and there's an animation where you see the smoke leave the cannisters, not connected to the plane rather than the 7 seconds or so of boost to the plane.

It seems to be just a VFX problem. You still get the thrust.

Example: Manual RATO start, you can see how the plane keep speeding up for about 8 seconds.

I made a report on their bugtracker, lets hope its something trivial to fix.

Hello there.

It used be no issue but there seems graphics added falling off RATO rocket starter when it fires.

On the runway, that things rolling around near rear wheels and hit the runway making holes (at 170km ish). It cause a big shaking the plane while taking off.

Any chance to fix this problems please?

I also got that issue but it explode under the aircraft while taking off, making it to bounce and loose it central ordonnace ( like the NUKE lol )

Same issue here, No fix since 7th May, just wasted my trial and guess I won't be buying it, too bad

Issue is still there mid-October 2022. Certainly not making the module bad, but a bit frustrating nonetheless. Would be nice if this could be fixed.

It seems this issue resurfaced in 2023. Attached track and screenshots, this issue is violent enough to sheer off the wing tanks frequently, though I was not able to replicate it in this quick test.

now its 2025 and im not able to fire the SPRD-99 RATO boost system at all. is there any fix? are you guys experiencing the same issue?
