AI A2G employment: Which commands?

Just did Mission 10 and had issues getting my flight to engage the trucks. I tried "engage utility vehicles," AI acknowledged but did nothing. I tried "engage primary," AI acknowledged but did nothing. I tried "engage ground targets," some AI engaged a couple trucks then went on suicide missions to strafe AAA batteries, while some AI stayed on my wing. I tried "Max engage ground targets" and got similar results to "engage ground targets." I'm not sure which command I should be using to get them to break formation and shoot things.

The F10 menu will order the 2nd flight only. The built in menu only works with your own flight. So you have to use both if you want the whole formation to attack. Engage utility usually works for me, but the DCS WW2 AI has a very cumbersome way to attack ground targets. They fly away for miles and climb high, then turn back. Quite unrealistic.

I wish there were a way to get them to ignore ADA targets. They always like to prioritize those whenever I fly.
