PLAAF
Dear developer team.: I haven't played P-51 for a long time. Today, I decided to pick it back up again. But I found there are 2 axis commands are missing. One for hot air and one for cold air. I knew those used to be in the game because I used to map them on my logitech quadrant. Can you have a look and add them back? Because as far as I remember, those are required during certain emergency cases, and during an emergency, it is very hard to use mouse to click them. Thanks very much. My Adorable Communist Errand Girls Led by me, the Communist Errand Panda

Sub forum?? Which one? Can you just show me the code, please? Thanks. Also, this fix, does it work on other aircrafts as well? Because I also found some other axis commands are missing. Thanks. You need to look for the cliclabledata.lua file in the P51D folder in the DCS root directory. Edit with NotePad ++ the two command lines "element 134 and element 135, the numbers 8 transform them into 7". Then assign two buttons to the carburetor control. OLD CROW
Temporary solution to your problem. Open the file in the NOTEPAD or NOTEPAD++ :program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World... \Mods\aircraft\P-51D\Cockpit\Scripts\clickabledata.lua Search for the following lines: elements["pnt_134"] = default_movable_axis(_("Carburetor Cold Air Control"),devices.ENGINE_SYSTEM, device_commands.Button_8, 134, 0.1 ) elements["pnt_135"] = default_movable_axis(_("Carburetor Warm Air Control"),devices.ENGINE_SYSTEM, device_commands.Button_28, 135, 0.1 ) Change the underlined variable to the following and then save the file: device_commands.Button_7 device_commands.Button_27 Once done it, Run DCS, Go to P-51 Controls and choose a Keybind for: -Cold air control to RAM -Cold air to control to UNRAMED FILTERED those 2 Keybinds move the outer/left carburetor incockpit lever - Warm air control to NORMAL - Warm air control to HOT those 2 keybinds move the inner/right incockpit lever Save those changes in your keybinding personal profile, just to keep the ingame changes saved. Unfortunately, til team would add this in any future next update you should edit manually de .lua step every time DCS is being updated. So keep this info localy saved in your computer, just in case you should repeat that First Step. This tip is compatible in SP also in MP environmets. PLAAF
Thanks very much for the info guys. Do you know if there is the same type of fix for the I-16? The mixture control on the I-16 is even more ridiculous. It can only jump back and forth from 0% to 100%. _Hoss
Works just fine, there are some inconsistencies between the TF and P-51... the canopy does not work on the TF but does on the P. Sempre Fortis
