Other thing I can say when this has occurred, has been high altitudes; I don't mean aircraft at high altitudes, I mean the vehicles at high altitudes.

Again, I need tracks, I just tried a quick and dirty mission with a vehicle at 3500m and I was able to lase and destroy a target with no issue. (Viper)

This is why "GBU" is a bad term when talking about precision bomb performance. What is it? GBU-12, 38, 39, 24, 54? They all behave different.

For laser guided usually upwind 1 ft per knot. For INS shouldn't have any effect on accuracy.

Unfortunately within the circumstances of the lengthy mission I am unable in the current time to reproduce the issue in a single player mission despite ensuring near identical circumstances.

That said, it's still not a lie that it is happening, here are screen grabs from tacview of it happening the previous two times I recall.

I find it interesting that both distances to target are incredibly similar.

Both missions were 1.5 hours in (more accurately, BMP3 on Syria was 93 minutes in, the T72 at NTTR was 103 minutes in) Both vehicles I believe were moving in the ~12kts range.

Is it entirely possible this is an issue with lag?

One important piece of information about this was being on a server with 100-150ms ping.

I did some brief testing and it appears to work as is

Parameters:

30,000 feet, Mach 0.85, Release GBU-38 the instant IN ZONE is displayed on the HUD, Final Attack Heading 360

Test 1: 0kts 180, 2 Hits ~10 meters

Test 2: 50kts 180, 2 Hits ~10 meters

Test 3: 50kts 360, 2 Hits ~10 meters

I know there used to be major issues with GBU's showing the correct range but it appears to work fine right now. At least it does in this brief test, may be able to rule out wind.

Virtual CVW-8 - The mission of Virtual Carrier Air Wing EIGHT is to provide its members with an organization committed to presenting an authentic representation of U.S. Navy Carrier Air Wing operations in training and combat environments based on the real world experience of its real fighter pilots, air intercept controllers, airbosses, and many others.

I am checking if there is wind restrictions, I tried slightly slower winds (in your mission) and they hit good every time, but your are dropping into 24 m/s and then at GRND its 11 m/s.

11 mtrs/sec is only 20 knots.   That ain't much wind.  And again, with it being a downwind drop as I did in my track, if nothing else it should just arrive with more energy, not overfly the target.

This bug currently makes LGBs marginally useful useless in something stronger then calm winds.
Bombing stationary target in 20kts winds(36kmh) is effectively like bombing moving target going at 36kmh speed in still weather.
Track of AV8B attacking column of T-90s on the move. Wind is 20kts. After the column stopped, 2 stationary bombing runs hit the same ground point.

Sorry the track doesn't play back correctly. I never seen anything attack in it. Are you on Open Beta or Stable?

Open beta 2.7.15.25026

Track doesn't replay reliably. If on first strafe the last tank in column is not tracked, the whole chain of events becomes senseless. better to replay the track again
--------------
Will record another track with stationary tanks

Maybe because they were traveling downwind.
Attached another track with stationary targets, should be easy to hit statics in 10m/s wind (36 kmh). Almost like hitting moving target (36kmh) in still air. But not the case.
It was easier to hit 50kmh moving tank in still air then stationary tank in 36kmh wind.
