hannibal Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 i been getting into the lantirn recently i had a hard time designating a target. i later found out i wasn't in air to ground mode.. but i like to ask if a dual stage trigger necessary to designate a target, or can i just map a button for "Lantirn Full action"? also, when cycling through QWP, is there anyway the VDI show which QWP that i am slaving the Lantirn to? find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179

Whatever physical trigger you have these are still separate bindings - so no, you don't need one. QWP info should be in the middle bottom after selection then it changes to show operation modes. 1 Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
Sacarino111 Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 Hi. You can bind full action to another button, or the same plus a modifier (that's what I did). Saludos. Saca111
Callsign JoNay Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 It says which Q you have selected in the LANTIRN symbology, I think down at the bottom. QWP1, 2, 3, etc, QDES, QHUD, etc. 1
hannibal Posted March 10, 2022 Author Posted March 10, 2022 ok guys! that help alot last night i was able to send a gbu16 via lase. found my process as 1) find target on screen by slewing around 2)designate (i think the first instance will save this point in lantirn, but camera still moves along with plane) 3) press area track or point track (to keep camera locked on the target and stop the camera from moving with plane) 4)refine the targeting a little bit more by slewing (since camera now stays where it is) 5) press area track or point track again (i NEVER got to see point track to go on) 6) designate AGAIN with refine adjustment 7) lase target and work with bombs 8)un-designate when done (like target destroyed) If someone can share anymore tips to be more efficient, please share find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
