Not sure if the guide will help - I seem to recall 2.5.6 files were pulled off the ED servers some time ago? Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

If you're that easily discouraged , maybe DCS is not for you 🙂

Should you change your mind , below is a link to a GUI utility that obviates the need for command lines . First download the current version of DCS , then revert to the version you want with the utility .

I just wanted something super easy and quick.

DCS is anything but easy and quick.

Shortly after 2.7 was released, I tried to download 2.5.6 and you are right, it has been removed from the server.

IDK if they have put it back up though.

Will it even install on Win 7????

Like many have said... 'Super easy and quick' and 'DCS' do not belong in the same sentence.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Do you know if the 1.5.7 is removed too?

I don't know. Have no need to try it.

I read the hard disk space needed is 100 gigs. That's a bit much.

At least 100 Gb. More if you have a lot of modules and maps.

Mine is 271 Gb + another 308 Gb in my Saved Games folder. (I have a lot of user mods.   gXL4isB.png)

Perhaps you should try Arma 3 instead, it runs on windows 7 and uses less than 45 GB.
