An hour ago things were progressing quite well.  It's been "stuck" here in the 2400 baud aisle for awhile.

you must be w new dcs user … it has always been that way, every new module, map, campaign, is released first in Openbeta. It will go onto the stable version once it has been tested in openbeta for a while.

new? lol, i think not. been on blackshark since 2009 when it was stand alone.  i only installed stable version as i recently upgraded my machine for vr, never purchased a pre release either.

Still poor though, been waiting months to fly something i paid for...

What actually stops you from switching to open beta?

Update is literally crashing at the exact same spot every time.

At 12595.2 of 80985.4 mbytes it crashes every time and forces my SSD to disconnect from the OS.

Downloaded 2709.0 of 35707.7 MBytes.

I have deleted 50 gb of other installed programs from the SSD...

No fix.

I have even copied a file of 5 GB onto the drive to push it past a rough spot, no fix.

This is driving me nuts.  😞

I have over 190 GB in free space on the drive.

SERIOUSLY????

i cant have it yet because i installed the stable version??

THATS POOR!

😡

No, you can have it, but you need to have OpenBeta version of DCS installed. Now you can either convert your Stable version, with a simple command line option, to the OpenBeta version or just install the OB version also if you have the space. Or wait for the Stable version, the choice is yours.

Check it for errors. This doesn't sound like a DCS issue as much as a drive issue, to me.  You could also try installing it on a different drive , it is quite easy to move later if you fix the ssd drive issue.

Good description of the issue, but not the same as the log.

nothing, been on OB for the last few years, but as i said, i just recently upgraded the old pc so my vr was smoother, installed stable as i figured there would be less issues.

"the device is not connected."

The device IS connected.  I just copied over 17 gigs of programs flawlessly to drive before and after the fail.  DCS is crashing the drive, where nothing else will...

Look onto your antivirus logs, to make sure it is not flagging the download.

Turned off antivirus completely, still crashing at the exact same spot every time:'

"leopard-2a4.zip" seems to be the problem.  This looks to be an updater issue.  The file does not exist in the path specified when I look in the directory.
