DCS 2.7.11 - VR cursor persists too long

Recommended Posts

Perhaps the percentage of VR users is still very low as compared to 2d users and does not get as much attention in the priority list as other bug fixes.

I think you're in for a disappointment...

you may be right.

well, for the time till they fix it I just found out that I don't see the cursor in VR when I put it in the right upper corner. so no problem for me. AND: I'm sittin' in my Apache for the first time while I'm typing this and my face does look like: 🤩 (with VR headset on). WOW ED... what a feeling to be an Apache dirver 😉 thanks a lot. back to topic... no, back to cockpit. I love it.

Plus it's not game breaking and not that much of annoyance as many think. Maybe I'm just used to putting the cursor away but it totally doesn't catch my attention in my recent flights.

Well... It doesn't break the game. So, not game breaking.

That's not really the point though is it. It's immersion breaking. And all the while the pointer can be moved out of the way, it reappears the moment you switch views or click something in the cockpit.

just to add to this it screws up my scan; I catch the edge of a something odd like say a bright blue cross and turn my head to track it ... and oh bugger its a blue mouse cursor not my target.

Hi Folks,

Annoying blue cross is on the screen in VR all the time and I can't get rid of it.  It completely destroys immersion.

The blue cross used to disappear after a while if the mouse was not moved, but now the blue cross stays on the screen and is very distracting to say the least.

Happy landings,

Talisman

Not to mention trying utilize Pointctrl with it.

I'm not really wanting to bring this up, but it's still happening in instant action missions. The cursor does not go away at all. I've tried it in four different aircraft. I've only noticed this in instant action mission.

Let's partly open this issue up again: if I switch to external view (F2) then back to the cockpit then the blue cursor shows up, like I was moving the mouse. It will disappear quickly, but it's still a bug.

The cursor should show up only upon mouse movement.
