Mac D Posted March 18, 2022 Posted March 18, 2022 So my whole setup is Virpil : Warbrd with Constellation grip, T50CM3 throttle, RCS plus base collective with Sharka-50 grip, ACE flight pedals, Sharka-50 control panel and control panel 1, and 2. (Yeahhh, this went a tiny bit over the top) I haven't played DCS for a while, and started again this week when control panel 1 came in and preparing for the Apache. So I mapped for the Hind, the F/A-18C and today, the Apache. But even after saving the control mapping per aircraft/helicopter, the mapping keeps disappearing. And IF the map will load, sometimes the inputs are swapped out between the collective and the panels, or between the panels themselves. Does anyone has any idea what is happening ? And maybe have a sollution how to fix this ?
loiphin Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 Do you mess with the configuration in the Virpil software? If you add logical buttons or change anything in the Virpil configuration tool, it causes your DCS config to be wiped. This is because your Virpil device comes back to DCS as a completely new device (you changed/added/removed buttons etc). But you can fix it by making a backup of your Input configs and then renaming the old control panel/throttle/joystick lua file to the new name that DCS gives it upon discovery.
