I cannot understand that "blinking Icon in the top right hand corner".

I still have the same problem with XP

Firewall is turned off when i trying to start Server but i can join as client without any problems.

When i make a server nobody join into. BUT if i quit qickly and im joining as client then i CAN see my actual IP (not router IP) on the list of servers for a while. Strange.

Im using a router. The router IP numbers start with 192......

(yes, iv read the BS GUI Manual p.149-p.161)

Network Speed ADLS 256/128

Port 10308

Interface - Ivgot 3 rows:

- 192.....Router IP (fix)

- ACTUAL IP (not fix)

- All Interfaces

What should i choose for the Interface settings ? (iv tried all the 3 options above)

What should i choose for the Server Type settings ? LAN or Interenet ?

or maybe i have wrong windowsXP/router setting for BS ?

Stanger, the blinking icon is the pause icon, you need to unpause the server like you would unpause a single player mission.

NRG-Vampire, you need open/forward the right port to the right IP (your hosting PC). Usually you should have a dialogue where you can say "Open port 10308 for this target IP", where the target IP must be your own PC.

Additionally please share the Router Model with us.

Yeah, if you use a router and you want to host LockOn or BlackShark (they both use same port) you need to set port forwarding in your router seting, not windows. Set both TCP and UDP for 10308 port to your PC IP.

The only problem my server seems to have, after i forwarded the port 10308 and started the server , the ingame browser shows the right ip but the wrong port! (in server options i chose 10308 too) So people cant connect using the in game browser but if they use my ip from in game browser and change the port to 10308 they can connect!

(the port it shows is something like 10220 or something like that)

maybe you got the same problem

(i use a teledat 631 router)

^^^

Yeah I noticed that also when one of my squad mates and I tried hosting a COOP... his server name was showing on the list, his IP was correct but port wrong. He double checked the port in settings and even though it was set to 10308 it was showing some other port in his server details.

hmm how would i check that...

Anyhow that would mean if i forward port 12000 for example and choose port 12000 when opening a server would work then?

Well something new to try out

  • 5 weeks later...

I have the same problem where the game throws out a port number I never gave it.. People look to join my game in the list of servers, and instead of seeing my 10308 port, they see some other number BS made up...

:helpsmilie:

hopefully, this is found as a bug in the sim and it will be fixed soon...
