collective - X52 throttle (z) axis will not invert

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to get my X52 throttle set up to pull to raise the collective and no matter what I do, the collective setting will not change from its default setting (which has me pushing to raise the collective). Setting the axis to inverted does nothing.

Does anyone know of a specific bug with this joystick setup? Or a fix to force it to invert the z axis?

When you go into "axis tune" to invert the axis does it go up and down on the graph when you move the collective? In my system I found a lot of imaginary axes on multiple controllers (JS, Throttle, Rudders) assigned when I set up my controllers in Black Shark. You may have to search about for the correct device.

If this is working then the only other thing I can think of is that there are separate settings for realistic and game modes and whichever you're flying needs to be set.

(the invert axis works fine on my CH stick)

@Chillspider: Sounds like you are trying to assign your throttle to the "Collective up/down" commands on the "INS Collective Stick" page, which is wrong. You have to assing it to the "Flight Control Collective" axis that you can find on the "Axis Commands" page (red marked line in the drop down menu).

Well, does not work for me. There is even no difference between invert enabled or disabled. Lok at the attached thumbnails. I do not have the "Flight Control Collective" position. I am doing something wrong?

Each aircraft has it's own control setup.

If you look at the top left of you screen shot, you'll see you have

Su-25T > Axis Commands

selected.

So you are adjusting how your X52 throttle controls the Su-25T's "Thrust".

You'll need to select "Ka-50 Sim" in the first drop down list.

Ramsay I do not have a black shark. I am trying to set axes for Su-25T's. I have only DCS world and flaming cliffs 3.

I am trying to set axes for Su-25T's.

I was confused, as you didn't mention which aircraft and your post is in the Ka-50 'bugs and problems' section.

No matter, this is my Su-25T setup, hope it's of use ...

... you'll note that 20% X52 throttle = 80% in the controls menu = 20% throttle in cockpit.

If you check the 'invert' box, the cockpit throttle will be forward when your X52 throttle is back and vice versa (I'm not sure why you want to invert your throttle but it works).

Thank you Ramsey.

I am a real greenhorn.

Sorry for posting in Black Shark section but I was looking for in across the whole forum.

The solution is trivial I simply was relied on indications from the controls menu not from the actual game. It happened by accident that when I tested the game, the axis was reversed and I did not get back to the game but tried to solve it from the menu.

Sorry for bothering you but you really helped.

Thank you.
