Tintin
Hello everyone. I find this white backlight effect very strange wouldn't a green backlight like this be more consistent ?
Ala13_ManOWar
Not sure, but it looks like what are green numbers under light are luminescent and they glow even when not lit or after being lit. Interesting effect if that's realistic. "I went into the British Army believing that if you want peace you must prepare for war. Nealius
That's new. I don't recall the instruments being luminescent in past versions. Very welcome change if it is indeed realistic.
Tintin
There had already been in the versions itself white backlighting. This is not good. If there's anything it's luminescent paint and it's not white. Just look at the other warbirds... I can't find the files to modify to have the right color To get the effect you saw above, I put the instruments in green. It's very ugly during the day but since at night it's backlit in white with the lighting of the lamps and it gives this effect. For the luminescent paint I think more of the yellow brown indication Edited March 25, 2022 by Tintin
Art-J
@Tintin - keep in mind these are modded cockpit textures on your first screen (one of these "high contrast" repaints for Spit available out there). Default ones don't have this effect. For cockpit mods I recommend Jex's one. It reduces the milky tint on the instruments and adds a little of contrast here and there, but doesn't change the overall look too dramatically: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3320326/ i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
