The rain sets in when precipitations is above a certain value (I can't recall which one) But a bug removes the rain drops on canopy effect if the value is lower than 9. There are 3 rain presets in the ME, and the third one uses a precipitation value lower than 9, which makes the bug happen. Don't accept indie game testing requests from friends in Discord. Ever.
