DPS Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 If you want a good read about rotary flying - and how it works - put Principles of Helicopter Flight by W.J. Wagtendonk on your Santa list. If you have a basic grasp of physics it will answer a lot of questions on this subject. Now all I need is a new PC that will run BS and I'm in business.
Jalava Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Principles of Helicopter Flight is quite expensive book, over £100 in amazon.co.uk :o I think also this one might be good one: Without Parachutes: How I Survived 1,000 Attack Helicopter Combat Missions In Vietnam by Jerry Childers Includes 13 rules of Helicopter Combat Missions, which are still in use, though modified.
TheWHite Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Or print this PDF and keep you monay in your pocket. FAA flying rotorcraft handbook :pilotfly:
