Assign mouse look to axis control

Hi all, a quick question to those that have encountered this:

 

i want to set the mouse look option to the right stick axis on my xbox gamepad (just until my new joystick arrives:) ) but in the axis assignment options the space is blank (there is no-where for an entry) for all view options except mouse, which it is assigned to.

 

can this be changed? i know that the d-pad works like a mouse look but its used with the left thumb, my flying thumb.

 

i read in another topic that one of the testers was using a gamepad to play. did they not request this feature?
