elewarr
https://www.facebook.com/wargaming.net/posts/10159777484419481 In the light of the recent tragic news from around Kyiv... I would buy all the ED modules I don't yet own if ED would make the same move, just to show my support for this decision. Qiou87
Just to be clear: such a large decision is not taken as reaction to news, like the atrocious discoveries around Kyiv. It is a result of weeks of internal discussions and in the end, a strategic decision. I also wonder how long ED will be able to continue to operate its main studios in Russia and Belarus. I am worried about the future of this sim that I cherish so much. 98abaile
With them previously spewing lies like a fire hose, I wouldn't readily believe everything you read coming from Ukrainian sources. More importantly, ED ISN'T a Russian company.
elewarr
Quote Just to be clear: such a large decision is not taken as reaction to news That's obvious, and that's exactly what Wargaming described in their post - they planned first, now executing. It may be PR, there may be loopholes but this single statement - may be costly for them and so it's a clear step, that required courage. Quote I wouldn't readily believe everything you read coming from Ukrainian sources I don't, actually I'm not relying on Ukrainian sources. Quote More importantly, ED ISN'T a Russian company. Same was true for Wargaming, wasn't it? And I still had a material to base this topic on. Yet they were able to deliver clear message - position themselves in this tragic situation, naming evil - evil. Something in, in my opinion, ED failed miserably.
IkarusC42B Pilot
Disgusting how a company will throw under the bus their loyal employees.
elewarr
Oh, I read some comments about it recently - people called it "collateral damage", and the piece was about why shelling of Mariupol's maternity hospital was justified, which came from "special operation" apologists.
ED Team NineLine Posted April 4, 2022 ED Team Share Posted April 4, 2022 Guys, I know how tough it is, with everything going on in the world to just say this is a forum about a game and leave it at that. I know that some of you feel we are insensitive for doing so. But I must stress, this is a DCS World forum, and it must remain as such, support for our game and all products related. It is no secret that we have people all over the world, and people in affected areas, but we will handle that internally as a company. Nobody is happy about what is going on in Ukraine, how could anybody be happy, but we cannot allow the discussion to happen here. I am sorry guys. There are plenty of places to discuss this that are much more appropriate. Thank you. 3 2 Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
