Disable the Weapon Selection Window ?

Been going over key board checking bits out. I am trying to find the key to toggle that weapons selection thing at the bottom right ? I have looked, tried and found nothing. Timm

How to make it disappear ? Turn on the real avionics. :thumbup:

 

Seriously, it isn't hard to learn avionics. I had similar thoughts in the beginning, but then i started to read every thread about it and manual and so on. The flying part is the hardest one.

I'm still learning to fly after a week of practicing. Foo fighters - Learn to fly is a good song to be in backround. :)

Thanks for that. But I'm abit lost here. When you say "Turn on the real avionics" are you referring to the game setup screen ? because I had that ticked for easy Avionics but when I un-ticked it and went back into the game I got the below screen and was completely locked out, In other words when pressing " PAUSE/BREAK" key to start nothing not able to do a thing except doing ALT,CTRL,& DELETE to get out of that screen, but when I re-clicked the "EASY AVIONIC" great got back into the game. Any clues in what is going on ? Timm

You need to quit the current game AFAIK. Turn on the realism settings and run the mission (or whatever) again.

I'm doing that. Coming completely out of the game ie back to desktop re-start game go into settings and thats it LOCKED. The last shot is a mission and thats it no go.Timm

Don't you get this pause window when in easy mode then? Pause key works then?

 

I was scratching my head for a while in the beginning with this same window. Pressing pause did not seem to have any effect. Then realized I am using the key as center key for TIR and it "stole" the keypress. Then remapped pause in BS to P key.

There are different key mappings for easy and simulation.

 

Go to controls, and the bottom should be a simulation option. Then find the pause function and make sure the pause key is mapped to it. Or reset to defaults.

Timm, please, what kind of keyboard do you use?

Its a bit hard to understand, but here is what I understand...

 

You wanted to remove the weapon selection graphic at the lower right.

Its discovered that to do this, you must deselect easy avionics.

When you deselect easy avionics, you are not able to un-pause once in the cockpit.

 

Is that correct?

I had the same problem, put your graphics in full screen instead of windowed mode. If you are in windowed mode you must first click the Pause/break dialog box and then select the pause /break key on the keyboard. Going to full screen corrected this for me.

Hi Guys,

Just got back from work and many thanks for replies. I have just gone into the key command setup and I notice that when I drop down the real mode key strokes theres nothing there. so that is why I was not being able to get out of the game. I have pressed the default tab at the bottom which has not added any key commands. Here is a shot. Timm

You should have a keyboard.lua and default.lua.

 

My guess is you dont have the default.lua.

Hi Guys,

OK Here is an up-date. Got the default key commands up, thanks Prophet for info I just went to a key command box added default and then went looking for it in the drop down tree window. Even thou I have got all commands in the game I am still not able to fly any mission in the Simulation mode. What I have tried is :

 

REAL GAME SETTINGS:ON , GAME PLAY: SIMULATION, RESULT: LOCKED OUT

(can't get pass the PAUSE/BREAK SCREEN. even thou this key is mapped out for the game).

 

REAL GAME SETTINGS: ON, GAME PLAY: GAME, RESULT : GOOD TO GO

 

I'm running the game on full windows mode, and using a Logitech cordless keyboard. I'm going to un-install, re-install and see what happens. Timm

You have too much issues. I think, the best solution is to reinstall game (make deactivation before it).

Hi there,

Did a un-install and put back and I noticed that on one of the opening windows when installing you have an option of REAL MODE which I ticked and that seems to have sorted out this problem. Had a Stick issue but able to sort out. To all who helped me a very BIG thank you. Timm
