Apache livery template bort numbers

chromium

Recommended Posts

Hello,

just to ask if it's possibile to have 3-digit bort numbers for the apache template. That could be optimal if it's possibile to have them:

- on the tail (balka1), medium size (160 px)

- on the vertical stabilizer, small-medium size (110 px) (balka2)

- on the front part of bottom1 and botton2

that might accomodate a lot of possibile counterparts of real life, both apaches or else (i.e. Tiger, Mangusta)

Thanks in advance if it's possible 🙂

The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.

I'm asking 3 digit cause AFAIK it wasn't possibile to set more than 3 in mission editor. Am I wrong?

Is that a universal thing or unit specific? I see these apache supposedly from 1-25 ARB have 3 digit numbers in white, but other units have 5 digits in black:

Could have sworn you can enter more than 3 numbers. I was playing around the other day, plugging in 5 digits. It wasn't doing anything, because as you said the skins don't have those numbers yet, but it wasn't stopping me from entering them.

+1 for various placement options. If the skin being used is a US Army standard drab skin, then yeah it's probably only going to be a low vis tail number, but the ability for high vis ID numbers on the sides of the forward avionics bays would be great for MP particularly.
