i think this would be a great thing if done right.

right now to use custom skins the server and all players need the same skins.

this is inefficient, and problematic.... for example... i downloaded a bunch of australian skins for the hornet.... and had to delete them all as i forgot which ones were custom.

i would love a system like the one used by life for speed(a car racing sim)

they have a basic free average quality skin system where they get uploaded to the lfs servers and when u play online other players skins are downloaded on the fly. you can pay extra for highres skins(to cover the extra costs to the developers)

this would not only allow for more custom stuff online without needing to follow guides and download specific skins, but would bring a great level personalisation, and could be turned off by server admins for example on servers where anyone making what ever skin they want would mess with the servers intended feel/immersion, and if implemented in the same way as lfs, other players skins are kept seperate, so you can see other players skins... but not use them yourself
